Untouchable po ba sila cory at danding at hindi magawang batikusin ng media about these two massacres?
- hopeless_race : Its sad that we pinoys are blind to the fact of what had happened in mendiola and hacienda luisita.

- guest_3664 : i would be glad if u can include the investigation of the manner public officials announce infra projects as per COA regulation. It is frustrating to see their faces on the tarpaulin instead of the prescribed information like name of project, date of implementation, amount of contract, source/s of fund, among other things. This is very rampant here in Marikina. Thanks and more power on your noble endeavors. We need people like you to have make our country great again.

Bantay ICT on PCIJ blog “hacking” incident
Posted by: Alecks P. Pabico | June 29, 2005 at 2:18 pm
Filed under: General, In the News, Science and Technology
Bantay ICT (ICT Watch), a group of advocates doing analysis and policy interventions on information and communication technology issues, especially those related to communication rights, has issued a statement concerning the "hacking" incident on our blog. Following are excerpts from the emailed statement:
Bantay ICT strongly condemns the reported hacking of the PCIJ website. This incident is an infringement on our constitutionally guaranteed right to information and freedom of expression. It bodes of worst things to come.
Just recently, security forces raided a printing press for publishing posters critical of the administration. Weeks before, the Justice Secretary kept on issuing warnings against the playing of the "Gloriagate" CDs. It is quite obvious that these acts, including the hacking of the PCIJ website, intended to limit our access to vital information related to the wiretapped conversation. Clearly, these are acts of censorship.
We are calling on the Filipino people to be vigilant and be always ready to protect our rights. We warn the perpetrator of the PCIJ website hacking that we will resist all efforts to impose censorship and restrictions to access to information especially on the Internet.
Bantay ICT encourages Filipino internet users to continue the online sharing of the wiretapped conversation between the President and the COMELEC commissioner so that more Filipinos will know the truth.

sino ang may kagagawan ng pag hack sa pcij website? from the tenor of this statement mukhang kilala ninyo kung sino. let us know so we can vilify them.
There is no price for the freedom of speech but the lapdogs of the bogus president seems to make us pay.
It will no longer come as a surprise if in the days to come every blogger will be marked and bugged.
Parang Gestapo po ano? Or baka mas malala pa.
I reckon rebz just wanted to leave his mark on this site, that he has the skills to get into a computer/blog system. I don’t believe he was hired by somebody political, or else he had posted anti-PCIJ messages, or worse, pro-GMA propaganda.
It is really a challenge for the admins to patch the site, especially when there are vulnerabilities in the ‘engine’ used (in this case, WordPress).
Now that PCIJ Blog is getting very popular, expect more rebz who will visit and try to hack again this site.
walang bumabato sa punong walang bunga.
it would be very obvious if he posted anything related to politics or the current issue. He didn’t delete any accounts, posts, articles, files or valuable information, right? I think we should give him the benefit of the doubt on the issue of censorship or conspiracy. As enuff said, he wanted to leave his mark on this site. He noticed the increasing traffic of the site so he is simply showing off his skills.
But of course, be vigilant always! exercise and protect your rights! never let be fooled again.
hacking is a sign of immaturity. weakness.
I agree that everyone must respect the right to free speech. But how about the bad eggs in media? How do we penalize them? Remember that both national and local media persons have been tagged to have received huge largesse from jueteng operators. The PCIJ must unmask these hooligans masquerading as legitimate journalists. I dare investigative journalists to name THEM.
same with malaya website.. once in a while someone is defacing the website… as I have observed here at sgpore
[...] Anyone who knows about the vulnerability can easily exploit them and your site might just be the unlucky target. PCIJ is still lucky the script-kiddie (not a hacker as popularly dubbed) only had limited access to their hosting account and logged in thru a WP hole, otherwise he/she could have wiped out all the files. [...]
THE FILIPINO CHANNEL (TFC) SINASABOTAHE NA RIN!!!
kanina habang nanonood ako ng tv patriol world live ang top story nila yung press conference ni susan roces. hindi pa nagiinit yung balita eh biglang nawala ang signal, the message was “no service is available”. i flipped on the other chnnels under the TFC (ANC, Cinema one, pinoycentral) pero okay naman sila. bukod tangi lang yung tv patrol segment lang ang nawalan ng signal. kahapon ganun din ang nangyari, pero mas grabe kahapon dahil habang ongoing yung “get real” program ni ces drilon sa ANC channel with her guests lacson and frank chavez while they were telling the story behind that controversial tape prior to its exposure by none other than tangang bunye, nag-blackout yung screen. ganun din i flipped on all the other channels but the rest of the cable channels from different countries were working except the TFC channels. aba, pati ba naman yung connection naming mga nasa-abroad sa ating bayan eh pinakikialaman nila? di bale, may-replay pa naman yan mamayang gabi.

HACKING IS A SIGN OF VERY LOW PAY AND UNEMPLOYMENT IN OUR SOCIETY.
Bintana (windows operating system)
Salita (MS word)
Kagalingan (excel)
Pananaw (Outlook)
Lakas-Tuldok (Power point)
remember… “idle minds are a playground of evil”
and “Evil minds are making our country their playground”
waaaa..hacker ba? i think it’s not a hacker….kung mei nagbyad s knya n i hack 2ng pcij eh sana wla syang tinira…kung cno man yung naghack maybe script kiddie lng yun….injection of exploits scripts..yun lng kya nlng gwin kc basic hacking yung injection of scripts and mas mdli lng..bk nman mei nhanap syang butas or bka hndi updated 2ng security ng pcij kya sya nk pag inject ng script..
I’ve worked in a printing press. But it only applies to CAMPAIGN MATERIALS in fact dapat nga andun din ang name ng Donor.
Jay cynikho, there’s no censorship being enforced here. It’s the anti-spam plugin that’s at work. Check your comment as it might have been over the length limit, or probably contained words not usually permitted in online conversations. The plugin also tries to confirm whether a comment comes from the same IP address used by the one who accessed the comment form. I would have seen your comment in the ones to be moderated if that were the case. But since I didn’t see any, it could have been outrightly deleted by the plugin as unmistakable spam.
Do try posting it again. Let’s see what happens.
i have been telling my friends, long before gma (the initial doesn’t deserve to be capitalized) became president, she already is showing signs “ala macoy”. now that she is…i have proven my point. there’s no one to blame but us. this hacking incident is just one among the many theese people do well. they not only intend to protect gma but themselves…really.
thanks alecks. here it is:
PCIJ has done much to the cause of Press Freedom in this country.
It’s the leanpost of truth, the sword of the gagged. PCIJ has done heroic to expose the venalities of government.
Yet, many do not know how much PCIJ have done to seek justice for murdered journalists. Many do not know how PCIJ safeguards the legion of its contributors.
In this country, it’s apt to be concerned when even its president was wire tapped. In this country where dirty money abounds in millions to buy hackers.
If PCIJ doesn’t watch out, hackers can truly endanger the lives of PCIJ staff and contributors. a HACKER enters your skin, ransack you inner vitals and spill out your guts, with laughter and gets handsomely paid for it.
A HACKER is worst than a virus a virus can give you lots of pain and head aches, wasted time and money. But it can not kill you, as a hacker can do in a fascistic country.
Remember this country is number one in eliminating those who practice their freedom of expression.
TO PCIJ: THE MESSAGE IS SIMPLE: WATCH YOUR BACK AND YOUR DOMAINS. YOU OWE IT TO THE FILIPINO PEOPLE.
goodness…yyour anti spam keeps my posts unpublish..how this one works.
goodness.your anti spam keeps my posts unpublish.
hope this one works.
now we need the support of the human rights lawyers….
kakailanganin na kayo ng taong bayan. kindly support our countrymen.
type niyo “DDOS” sa google… astig yan……wakokok!

puwede rin bro..
dear 46664
you have so many sixes (6s) there,
if I may say so. Remember
annakin was given the order
to execute operation 66 to
wipe out the JEDIs and their
families - annakin succeeded
and became Darth Vader.
Have you seen the 888 plate
number in any old rickety car?
no sir! only in late model cars
probably owned by Chinese.
that’s the lucky number besides 7.
pardon the digression PCIJ bloggers.
If it was a well paid hacker who broke into this blog then why just deface the website. A DDOS is better. That one does not leave a trace. And why not delete all posts? Or wipe the whole web site? scripts, logs and all.
We all love conspiracy theories. I remember a woman who was shot in new york. everybody had big theories why she was murdered. It turned out it was just random shooting. murdered for no reason at all.
PCIJ has a report on media corruption. Go to the main site. Go down the bottom of the page too. You will see a very interesting report on Erap.

talaga bakit buhay ka pa? bakit pwede ka pa magcomment?
