think the majority share your insights albeit ur indifference benigno.. kaya nga walang mass actions like the ones we used to see during edsa one and two.. people simply don’t care anymore who leads us.. much of the their attentions are focused to just to eake out a meager living and provice for their families.. i guess they also dont mind that the little money they earn is being eaten bit by bit by a goverment who overly tax the masses while wantonly spends the loot they collect.. i guess they wont mind that majority of their mothers and fathers have to go abroad at the risk of life and limb, not to mention sanity just to be able to provide for their children.. and i guess the wont mind at all when they see all those politicians strutting new SUV’s everynow and then, being implicated in coruption charges but not getting convicted not to politicos who are self confessed jueteng lords chumming up with the president herself.. hmmm sad as i would like to admit it.. we have lots of people like u benigno here in the philippines.. thats why we are in this rut.. people just dont care anymore… “in the land of the blind.. the one eyed lady is king” madam cyclops guess ur it..

Filipinos have enjoyed too much democracy that even the democracy they say they are protecting is the one they are destroying…

I believe what the president is doing.. sometimes democracy must be controlled in order to save it from the hands who are more eager and corrupt to be back on power once more..

The Daily Tribune has just been raided and all printed papers of todays edition had been confiscated. Where is the freedom of the press now? Ito na nga ang nakakabahala, pag anti-GMA ka, either distabiliser, communista or ultra-rightist ka. So were do we really draw the line?

Some would say that our media only reports the bad things, sana manood o magbasa muna kayo bago kayo humusga. Maraming sections ang pahayagan at ganun din ang tv. I hope you try reading our dailies from cover to cover. Let’s not tow the line of the administration that all we read and watch in our news reports are the negative things that happen everyday.

You hit on the nail head MitaMS, cold feet, Benigno! Mirons are just as importatnt as the players. We are all a part of this country though we exercise our choices in different way. If Alecks and company choose to be very involved as players then so be it. Thats their choices and we can just respect them. At the same time, the mirons has made their choices and that should be respected as well. Positively, all sides are very important for our country and exercising our own choices is very healthy. Hindi naman pwedeng lahat tayo ay main protagonist on this crazy political game that is happening in the country eh….

Depende rin kung anong sport ang pinapanood ng miron. At kung gaano kalapit ang miron sa mga players. Kung chess lang sa kanto-kanto, puede sigurong magsalita yung miron, pero bahala siya kung sakaling mapikon yung player/s, lalo na kung may pustahan.

Kung sakaling miron ka naman sa mga national or international chess tournaments, puede ka sigurong mag-comment pero hindi puedeng naririnig ng players, dahil malamang patatalsikin ka ng organizers.

In a sense we are all “mirons” in a grand scheme of things. The main actors or players are the same people who keep changing roles. One day the other plays the bad guy, the next he’s playing the bad guy still. Screams all we want, like screaming in the middle of the jungle.
