Hay naku, alam naman natin na majority na ng mga Filipino ay ayaw na talaga kay GLUE-RIA. Magtanong-tanong ka lang kahit na saan at malalaman mo kong ano ang opinyon ng mga Filipino kay GLUE-RIA. Kahit na dito sa office namin ay maraming galit sa kanya pero kahit na 90% pa seguro ang ayaw na sa kanya ay hindi pa rin aalis ‘yan. Masyado na yatang nahihibang sa kapangyarihan. Kahit na katiting na delicadeza ay wala na talagang naiwan sa katawan niyan. Kong sa ibang bansa nangyayari ito ay matagal ng nag-resign ‘yan dahil sa kahihiyan. Pero si GLUE-RIA hindi lang kapit-tuko, manhid at walang hiya pa.

Firstly, I believe that the leadership of this country or any country for that matter should not be based on surveys. After all, surveys are just sample taken out of the total population, no matter how scientific it was done, it’s still not representing the population so it cannot be a basis for deciding who is the leader or whether the leader should resign. Ano na .lang ang mang yari kung sa survey tayo mag base? Secondly, we all know for a fact tht GMA was not elected by the majority of the people because, nga, there were 6 of them who run during the elections… so it is no longer a surprise if the survey resulted that way because we all know that the majority did not vote for her, it just happened that she got more votes than the others (though there are claims that she cheated)..so again, let the survey results be posted as guide but it can never be a basis for removing a president. Yon lang po.

Surveys don’t mean a thing unless an election is coming up. si Bush din lowest rating ever pero andyan pa din sya - lower even than GMA if memory serves me right.

if you’re serious about getting her out, stop asking for her resignation and street protests. that won’t work and it’s about time everyone accepts that.

concentrate on impeachment….oo nga pala..wala pang report yon dito about the opposition’s announcement they will pursue that option.

I totally understand your point about not having a degree and making it big (I can attest to that, undergrad lang ako, and so far, maayos naman ang buhay) pero be honest, has she (Roces) really demonstrated any real ability to lead? So far, I’m seeing no real proof, except she’s making us feel sorry for her that FPJ is dead, and sometimes blaming others for his death. I do not belittle people who had not reached college. I’m just really doubtful she can lead us better than Gloria.

Maybe if we could discuss SOLUTIONS instead. There will always be someone siding Gloria, there will always be an opposition.

Yes Penpen, I do see improvement, although mabagal siguro. It may not be all Gloria’s doing di ba? I visit Manila every year. It is different (good kind) from back in 1998. Mas marami nang mga businesses, Makati is more busy than ever, marami sa islands natin ang asa listahan ng mga foreigners as vacation spots, sobrang popular ng high rise condos.Heard this group of friends at a mall…”basta ako, I’m staying sa call center job ko, I think kaya ko pa ng second job, I will buy that condo in Makati!”. Sa loob-loob ko, good one Mister! Napa-smile naman ako dun.

All I’m saying is as much as anyone would hate to admit it, we are making progress.

Makati is hardly the symbol of the state of the Philippine economy. Even the whole of Metro Manila does not provide a good picture. Its like saying New York epitomizes US economy when there are places like New Orleans. Or that Shanghai is China, or that Mumbai is India. Its not what’s happening in a country’s metropolitan cities that is significant. Its how the country’s wealth is distributed.

The call center employment rate does not significantly affect the country’s unemployment rate (there are enough statistics to show this). The usual process for development is focusing on agricultural development then industrial development (like manufacturing) then a service-oriented economy. We haven’t even reached agricultural development yet.

As for tourism, a foreigner who was thinking of doing business in the Philippines was told by another foreigner: “The Philippines is for vacationing not for doing business”.

Without the OFWs’ billions, I doubt we’d be “progressing” the way we are. They are the driving force of the economy, especially in real estate and SME’s.

Our “progress” is best exemplified by the increasing number of OFWs - who would dare risk being abused abroad or being far away from their families if the local economy was even good enough.

In reality, hindi inatupag at pinagpaguran ng opposition ang impeachment case. They might have put up a good show for the publc during the trial but most of the work for any legal action is done BEFORE you even get to court or in this case, Batasan. Remember, Lozano came into the picture before anyone in the opposition even mentioned filing the impeachment charges. Before that I was wondering why no one was doing it, puro press release but it was all palabok.
Even commenters here were calling for her resignation last year - mga galit, mga sawang sawa , sobrang emotional. We’ve all heard how stubborn and determined GMA is - mana nga daw sa mother nya is what I’ve read.
Let’s cast aside emotions, support impeachment and show a united fron, malayo aabutin nun.

As for a replacement, I like NdC. He hasn’t shown any bias towards his former employer like everyone predicted. Even if its unpopular, he is sticking to his guns because of principio. He’s also hard-working and not making too much press noise about his activities. I also like the idea of making democracy working and having the VP as replacement gives the country and our institutions more credibility and gains us more respect, not in other coutries’ eyes, but in our own eyes.

– personally i dont think she has any intentions of being this country’s leader.. ergo the lack of proof you speak off.. dont think she has the stomach din for what our leaders are doin now just to retain themselves in power.. now that may be a negative trait for you but to me at least i know that she isnt power hungry she isnt liar and a crook?? dat should count for something right?? i mean if given a choice would you follow an honest person or a crooked one..

–its hard to not be emotional when you pay your taxes year on year.. then government ask you to pay more.. and all you see are the same structures.. your business being pirated by illegal foreigners.. selling smuggled goods.. your livelihood compromised by corrupt taxmen….all these talk bout changing the constitution para walang check na and they will be free to spend all of your hard earned tax money on themselves.. they who were suppose to work for the people re working for themselves.. hell they’re not even working.. theyre just passing laws to enrich themselves… yup we hve to be united.. we have to be united against these people not just watch as they bleed our country dry…

The statistics say that 65% of Filipinos want her out. But whenever we have a President we always want them out. So this is not new. If we Filipinos could not trust anyone for President then we shouldn’t be calling ourselves as one or electing one. Why even bother to rant that you want a President out. Better, get out of the country and leave other people in peace. I would rather have a crooked President rather whom I know rather than an “angel” I don’t.

Let’s face it, politicians have been lying and cheating their butt since the dawn of time. This is nothing new. However, our actions to ensure that we don’t have these kinds of politicians in the near future only emboldens future politicians.

What we see here are just shows. Senators, congressmen threatening to expose this and that. Dailies and tabloids putting this and that in the headlines … inquiries … exposes … fact finding comission etc etc. After a while the expose looses steam and another expose gets introduced. These cycle just goes round and round. Problem is nobody gets to do the time. They don’t get punished. If they do they have their best time in jail living like the elite they are. Hey! We are witness to this. Question is “WHAT ARE WE DOING ABOUT IT”. If we are just contented to write, report and talk about it them I’m afraid I DO NOT WANT ANY PART OF IT ANYMORE. I’m sick and tired and would rather work my butt earning a living or helping/influencing people the right way to live.

Let’s face it, one person taught the right way to live (living a life centered around Jesus) is better than you or me jabbing at things whose outcome we could hardly influence. I teach/influence and SHOW this person the right way , he teaches/influences and SHOWS another person … etc etc is the right way to go forward. Not, “let’s do some praying” then report to the press, visit “beleaguered” soldiers wanting to go to Edsa … etc etc.

The press always want something to write - they are in the business of writing (this is how they earn their money). And, the more we get involved in this “act” the more we become “couch potatoes” in this “movie”. We also get to make the actors, actresses, producers and employees in act quite rich.

Don’t you get it? This is a “movie”. Not just any movie but the “movie”. The actors and actresses say their lines and we say “oooh” and “aahhh”. And, at the end we “clap”.

Let us think “out of the box” for once and do something that isn’t already scripted. If you think that doing a Dinky is the right thing, I tell you better jump right out of the window. You and I both know that scripted actions are like actions of beggars waiting for scraps.

If we are going to make a change let us first start with ourselves with God. This call is not for people to do a Cory but a real honest to goodness call to heed God.
